Counseling Services in Harlingen, Texas

We have a strong belief in the power of human connection, and the amazing RESILIENCY that is an integral part of our being.

Our specialty is trauma - our therapists are highly trained in treatments developed specifically to treat symptoms related to traumatic events, such as abuse, accidents, severe illness, or combat. Our foundation is a trusting and genuine relationship, and we always aim to treat our clients with respect and compassion. We establish goals for therapy together and adjust them as needed. We also agree on a timeline for therapy. Services can be conducted in the form of individual, couple and family sessions, as needed. Sessions can be held in-person or online. All sessions are confidential, and any limits to confidentiality are discussed in the first session.

We are based in Harlingen but work across McAllen, Brownsville, Laredo and Corpus Christi. Since we can schedule online appointments for our professional counseling services we are available throughout Texas.

Our Fees and Payment Options

We offer a FREE 15-minute video consultation with any of our Clinicians that are accepting new clients. Currently there are several Licensed Professional Counselor - Associates with immediate openings. Call us today! 956-230-1210

Our fees are lower than the standard $120 in the Rio Grande Valley for a 50-minute counseling session.

Fees for services start at $90 for a follow-up session with an LPC-Associate.

The Benefits of seeing an LPC-Associate are several:

  1. They have completed a Master's graduate program in Counseling, in addition to supervised practice.

  2. They have passed the National Counselor Examination to become licensed as an Licensed Professional Counselor - Associate

  3. They are being closely supervised by a Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor - so you are getting "two-for-one" when you see an LPC - Associate.

  4. At Resiliency Psychological Center, LLC, the LPC-Associate is also receiving confidential case consultation with other licensed professionals at Resiliency, including Licensed Psychologists. Hence, there is additional support for each client's treatment.

  5. As LPC - Associates cannot be listed under insurance panels, none of the treatment information will be shared with any insurance companies (such as the client concerns, diagnosis, or personal identification), providing an added level of privacy for your treatment.

  6. There are no limits to treatment such as limited sessions or types of diagnosis, as might exist when paying with insurance.

Fees for other Clinicians will vary depending on the type of service (counseling or testing) you are seeking, the length of the session, and the service provider that you see (e.g., Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), LPC-Associate, Psychologist). All Fees and estimates are provided prior to scheduling your first full session.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for treatment items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or  contact the No Surprises Help Desk at 1-800-985-3059
