Elisa Lopez, LCSW-S

Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Supervisor

Hello.  My name is Elisa Lopez, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Supervisor.  I was born and raised in a small border town in the RGV and earned my degrees at UTPA in Edinburg, Texas.   I have been passionate about working with marginalized individuals throughout my career and continue to prioritize the people of the Rio Grande Valley with a strong focus on our Mexican-American population.  It is my honor to focus my efforts on providing such vital services to our individuals and communities.  I have extensive experience with various mental health disorders, which include substance use disorders, marital discord, domestic violence, and immigration trauma.  I have worked with children, adolescents, adults and geriatric populations.

My experience with psycho-social assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge planning, individual, group and family counseling, providing psycho-education, support groups and community resource referrals began in 1996 and has progressively developed throughout a broad wealth of diverse treatment environments and client populations to date. I have experience working in inpatient psychiatric facilities, intensive outpatient drug and alcohol treatment, as well as a partial hospitalization program for persons struggling to manage a number of mental health disorders, treatment and/or medication regimens.

I look forward to working with you!
